We are the Butts Family — Chris, Carla, and Lynlee — based in South Fulton, TN.
Chris began his journey in construction as a teenager, learning the craft of home building alongside his grandfather. After high school, he continued his education at the Tennessee Technology Center in McKenzie, earning his diploma in Architectural and Mechanical Drafting & Design. For the next 25 years, he worked in the commercial engineering industry designing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, large capacity septic systems, and fire protection.
After designing and building our own home, we took a leap of faith and launched Butts Building Services, offering residential home design to families beginning their own home building adventure.
Where Timeless Principles Meet Today’s Technology
When you choose Butts Building Services, not only are you choosing the new age of custom home planning with the latest technology in CAD design, but also choosing the old school ways of planning. When Chris was growing up, he watched his grandfather examine his carpentry book to teach himself how to build houses. That book has since been passed down to Chris, and he now studies it often when designing for his customers. It still holds true to provide the best practices in carpentry and home building.
